haha, praise jesus my computer is well again!:D
the last time i went on, i couldn't access any blogger blogs.
and that got me into a frantic mess.
but jesus is always good:)
haha, anyway i went to watch a fabulous performance by SDT on thurs.
even though i sat at like right at the top.
circle three. haha, what'd you expect? it was sixteen dollars only.
but even from that height, the dancers did a really good job.
although the area which i sat at was pretty noisy due to little girls that keep wishing act two was already over.
and rustling noises of plastic bags and what nots.
sheesh. but coming to think of it, i was like them once.
haha i actually slept through half a ballet when i was primry two or three.
seriously. ohh and the costumes were lovely.
a far fetch from what i thought it would be and what the brochure looked like.
black and white styled costumes.
i loved all the swan solos and swan corp de ballets.
they were all so graceful and beautiful.
haha, the story plot is actually pretty cliche.
most ballets are like that. either really cliche or really soppy.
like cinderella, sleeping beauty, romeo and juliet, giselle.
but the dancing makes it not soppy but rather, a beautiful romantic tale of love.
haha hailing, the principal dancer, as odette and odile did only seventeen fouettes.
and not the promised thirty two.
but nevertheless it a good job.
haha, and at the end of the show they got so many encores and and flowers.
and they're gonna repeat the whole process for two more days.
so yeah. i wonder if they reuse the flowrrs. oh and there were only 33 dancers, so all of them danced quite abit.
haha, and the merchandise was pretty lovely but it was quite overpriced.
they were selling this cute little pointe shoes for like eight dollars.
mind you you can't use them.
and the book was like ten bucks or something.
haha. ohhhhh and they're having a giselle performance next year at fort canning.
so it's something like ballet under the stars.
i've always wanted to watch giselle. it's such a sad and tragic tale...
and miss shymala, no offence looks like mary poppins in her outfit.
lol. i was rather wistful i didn't get to see miss wendy, although i heard quite alot of ballet teachers turned up on that night:)
dance those blues away...
